Children are very welcome as long as they are supervised by an adult. Please mention the age of the child/children when registering your team in the comments section. Please note that an anomaly spans an entire afternoon and can involve approximately 6-10 km of walking.
You will be part of a team so let the team know when you will arrive and depart and they can take your participation into account and make arrangements within the team.
After registering and once the organisation team has verified you, you will be invited to join the Google+ community page. On this page all details will be given to prepare you well for the event. It’s also a great place to get in touch with agents who have experienced previous anomalies.
Attending the event can be entirely free as a medal can be obtained for free by all participants. You may need money for public transport, food and drink, and any merchandise (swag) you like, etc. At previous events if you wanted an early or guaranteed access to the Niantic after-party where the results will be announced, you could purchase a common pack containing a wristband, sold by Niantic via the official event website. For the swag savvy amongst us there were Rare Packs containing a pin, bio card and more! The hardcore collectors could have chosen the Very Rare Pack containing exclusive swag items, a patch and VIP after-party access. Currently we don’t know yet what will happen this anomaly
